seem worthy of the attention of the Society, as they are apparently the first described in this country. The subjects of it worked in the "curing-house" in one of the rubber-works here, their duties requiring them to dissolve chloride of sulphur in bisulphide of carbon, and to superintend the working of the machine for vulcanizing the cloth. They are thus almost continuously exposed to a more or less concentrated atmosphere of the bisulphide.
